Environmental Policy

Aussiepay takes its obligations as a responsible member of the business community and wider society seriously. This is true of many areas but particularly in relation to its environmental responsibilities.

Aussiepay's objective is to provide its services to clients in a manner that minimises the usage of resources both within Aussiepay and within the client’s domain. The way that this is achieved is through the following means:

• All printing of internal reports and documents is, wherever possible, printed on recycled paper so that the usage of paper is kept to a minimum. This is achieved by having a printer that is dedicated to exclusive recycled paper.
• Printers used are the most environmentally efficient printers available. The Kyocera FS370 and FS380 Ecoys printers are based on a recycling of the printer cartridge with incremental addition of toner. This ensures that the wasteful practice used by most laser printer manufacturers of replacing the whole cartridge every time new toner is required is eliminated.
• All faxes sent to Aussiepay are converted to e-mails and directed to a specific recipient. That recipient then reviews the fax prior to printing so that faxes that do not require printing are eliminated. This saves a high volume of paper without compromising the integrity of the system.
• All reports produced by Aussiepay can be e-mailed to clients and stored on the clients system automatically without needing to be printed. This means that the entire payroll function can be maintained with a minimum of printing.
• All reports run by Aussiepay in the course of providing services to clients are kept as PDF copies on a server thereby ensuring that an electronic record exists of all payrolls without a single report needing to be printed.
• Through Aussiepay's Employee Self Service and eWorkflow Leave Management web services we can provide clients with online payslips and leave management application system without there being a need to print any form, report or application.

Through the utilisation of the above practices we can ensure that we can maintain the most environmentally friendly service to clients and enable clients to instantly adopt similar practices.
